Holiday Car Rental in Paphos
Paphos is a holiday where a car matters. The old town, the harbour, the beaches, the villages and the coast road are separate stops, and a rental car lets you enjoy them at your own pace. This guide covers how to book a holiday car with CHMI: airport handover, delivery to your villa or hotel, choosing a car, and the practical points that make the week go smoothly. The Airport Handover
Land at Paphos Airport, walk out through arrivals and your agent will be waiting outside the terminal entrance with the paperwork ready. We track your flight, so a delayed arrival does not cost you the car, and late-night and early-morning arrivals are supported because airport delivery runs 24 hours. Delivery to Your Villa or Hotel
It is not only the shop. When you rent with us, we can take you straight to your hotel, villa or home, free of charge, in Paphos town (the city centre, Kato Paphos, Universal and Geroskipou), at Paphos Airport and in Chloraka, Kissonerga, Peyia, Coral Bay, Tala, Empa and Mesa Chorio. The 72 Hour Minimum
Our minimum rental is 72 hours (3 days). For a holiday of a week or more, that is not a limit. For a short break, a three day rental runs from, say, Friday morning to Monday morning. Our short rental rates are set for 3, 7 and 21 days, and the fleet page shows each car's price for those lengths. The longer the rental, the lower the price per day. Choosing a Holiday Car
- Couples and small families: a compact automatic keeps costs down and makes parking easy. The Nissan Note has extra legroom and cargo space.
- Families with lots of luggage or longer drives: an SUV has more space and a higher driving position.
- Families and villa holidays: the automatic Nissan X-Trail has the most room for passengers and luggage.

Travelling With Children
We provide baby seats, child safety seats and booster seats on request. Tell us the ages and heights of your children when you book, so we can prepare the right seats for delivery. Check that the seats are fitted correctly before you leave the pickup area.
Holiday Driving Tips
- Cyprus drives on the left, and the steering wheel is on the right. Roundabouts run clockwise.
- Parking is the main challenge in Kato Paphos on summer evenings. Look for marked bays or car parks.
- Use a sun shade and keep water in the car in summer.
- Mileage is unlimited on our rentals, but fuel is not included. Return the car with the same level you received.
- The Akamas region, Northern Cyprus and off-road driving are not permitted.
When to Book
Our prices are the same all year. July and August are the busiest months, and popular cars can be booked out days in advance. Book early for summer, and at least 24 hours before if you want delivery.
What You Need to Rent
- A valid driving licence. Drivers must be over 21, or have at least 3 years of driving experience.
- Your passport or ID, which is left as security under our terms.
- Cash or a credit card. Debit cards are not accepted, and you do not need a credit card if you pay in cash. See renting without a credit card.
