Why Rent in Town Rather Than at the Airport?
Many visitors take a taxi or transfer from the airport and rent a car only for part of their stay. That can save money. If you do not need a car for the first few days at the harbour, collecting one in town later is cheaper than paying for it to sit in a hotel car park. Driving and Parking in Paphos
The old town and harbour
Streets around the harbour fill up in the evening in summer. Use the public car parks near the harbour and walk in, rather than circling for a space. A compact automatic makes this far less stressful, and it is one of the reasons small cars are so popular here.
The Tombs of the Kings and archaeological sites
The Tombs of the Kings and the Paphos Archaeological Park are close to our office. Both have parking, and both are best visited early, before the midday heat.
Roundabouts and the left side
Cyprus drives on the left, with roundabouts every few hundred metres in the newer parts of town. Give way to traffic already on the roundabout, indicate when leaving, and take the first day slowly.

What You Need to Rent in Paphos
- A valid driving licence. Drivers must be over 21, or have at least 3 years of driving experience.
- Your passport or ID. Under our terms, the passport is left as security and returned with the car.

- Awareness of the rules: third-party insurance, renter liability for damage, no off-road driving, no Akamas, no Northern Cyprus.
