Villa Car Delivery in Paphos
A villa holiday in the Paphos district usually means a hillside village or a quiet stretch of coast, with the supermarket, the beach and the restaurants all a drive away. Without a car, every trip needs a taxi. With CHMI Rentals, the car comes to the villa. When you rent with us, we deliver to your villa: free of charge in Paphos town and the nearby villages, and for an extra charge further out. It is not only the shop. This guide explains how villa delivery works, which villa areas it covers and how to choose the right car for a villa stay. CHMI Rentals has served Paphos for over 23 years from Tombs of the Kings Avenue.
Why a Car Matters on a Villa Holiday
Hotels in Kato Paphos are within walking distance of the harbour. Most villas are not. The popular villa areas sit in villages above the coast, and even a short trip for bread or water becomes a drive. A car at the villa lets you shop when you arrive, reach a different beach each day and eat out in the evening without calling a taxi.
- Supermarket runs. Villas are self-catering, so the first job is usually a big shop.
- Beach days. From the villages above Coral Bay and Peyia the beaches are a short drive down the hill.
- Evenings out. Restaurants in Kato Paphos and the villages are spread out.
- Day trips. Mileage is unlimited on our rentals, so a longer drive along the coast does not change the price.
The Villa Areas We Deliver To
Free delivery for renters covers Paphos town (the city centre, Kato Paphos, Universal and Geroskipou), Paphos Airport, Chloraka, Kissonerga, Peyia, Coral Bay, Tala, Empa and Mesa Chorio. That includes most villa areas. Further out, villa delivery has an extra charge; call the shop for the price.
| Villa area | What it is like | Drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Peyia | The hillside village above Coral Bay | About 35 to 40 minutes from the airport to Coral Bay |
| Coral Bay | Beach resort area north of Paphos | About 35 to 40 minutes from the airport |
| Tala | A hillside village above Paphos with sea views | About 17 minutes from our shop |
| Chloraka and Kissonerga | Coastal villages north of Paphos | About 9 and 14 minutes from our shop |
| Empa and Mesa Chorio | Quiet villages inland from Paphos | About 13 and 17 minutes from our shop |
Staying in Polis, Latchi or Aphrodite Hills?
These are not part of our delivery area. Collect the car at Paphos Airport or our shop, or call the shop on +357 99 655104 to ask about an arrangement; any delivery there has an extra charge.
How Villa Delivery Works
- Choose your car and dates on the fleet page. The minimum rental is 72 hours.
- Send us the villa address and a phone number that works in Cyprus. Villa addresses can be hard to find, so a map pin or the owner's directions help.
- Book at least 24 hours before, and agree the handover time with us.
- Meet your agent at the villa. Show your licence, leave your passport as security and pay in cash or by credit card.
- Check the car together and photograph any existing marks.
Arriving on a late flight? You do not have to wait until the next day. Our airport delivery runs 24 hours, so you can collect the car outside the arrivals terminal and drive to the villa yourself. See Paphos Airport car hire.
Choosing a Car for a Villa Stay
Villa holidays are often for families or groups, and the roads to many villas climb and wind. Every passenger car in our fleet is an automatic, which makes hill starts and tight village lanes easier.
| Your group | A good fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A couple | Suzuki Swift or Toyota Vitz | Small cars for narrow village streets |
| A family of four | Nissan Note or Honda Fit | Legroom, luggage space and versatile seats |
| A family with a lot of luggage | Nissan X-Trail | A large boot and a higher driving position |
For more help choosing, see our family car hire guide.
Driving to and From the Villa
- Learn the route in daylight. Village roads can be narrow and poorly lit at night.
- Take the hills steadily. Some villa driveways are steep, so go slowly and leave room.
- Park where the owner tells you. Some villas have a private drive, others share parking with neighbours.
- Lock the car whenever it is parked. Lost or broken keys are the renter's responsibility under our terms.
- Stay on paved roads. Off-road driving, dirt tracks and the Akamas region are not permitted, even if a track looks like a shortcut.
Child Seats Delivered With the Car
Baby seats, child safety seats and booster seats are available on request. Tell us the ages and heights of your children when you book, and the seats arrive with the car at the villa. Everyone must wear a seat belt, including rear passengers.
At the End of Your Stay
Free delivery and pick-up covers the same area, so we can collect the car from the villa at the end. Agree the time with us in advance. Return the car with the same fuel level you received, and on the agreed date and time, since late returns carry an hourly fee. If you are flying out, you can return the car at Paphos Airport instead, during shop hours, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 7pm.
Rental Terms in Brief
- Drivers must be over 21, or have at least 3 years of driving experience.
- You can pay in cash or by credit card, so a credit card is not required. See renting without a credit card.
- Only the renter who signed the contract may drive. If two people plan to share the driving, discuss it with us at booking.
- Vehicles carry third-party insurance, and the renter is responsible for damage or theft subject to the excess limits. Read our insurance guide.
- Mileage is unlimited. Fuel is not included.
