Airport Transfers in Paphos: What CHMI Offers, and What It Is Not
The most useful thing we can tell you first is this: CHMI Rentals is a car rental company, not a taxi firm. We do not sell a stand-alone airport transfer that you book without a car. What we do is make the journey from the airport to your bed easy when you rent with us, and that includes a ride to your hotel, villa or home (free in Paphos town and nearby villages such as Coral Bay and Peyia), an agent waiting at arrivals, and a minibus for groups on request.
If you only need a lift and no car, a taxi or the airport bus is the right tool, and the comparison further down explains the trade-offs. If you would like a car for your stay, read on, because the transfer part is included. CHMI Rentals has served Paphos for over 23 years from Tombs of the Kings Avenue.
The Transfer Options at a Glance

Landing at Paphos Airport
Paphos International Airport (PFO) is small and quick to clear. We track your flight, so a delayed arrival does not cost you the car, and late-night and early-morning arrivals are supported because our airport delivery runs 24 hours. Walk out through arrivals and your agent will be outside the terminal entrance. You show your licence, leave your passport as security under our terms, pay in cash or by credit card, and drive away. No credit card is needed; you can read how renting without a credit card works.
| From Paphos Airport to | Approx. drive |
|---|---|
| Kato Paphos harbour | About 20 minutes |
| Our shop, Tombs of the Kings Avenue | About 25 minutes |
| Coral Bay and Peyia | About 35 to 40 minutes |
| Polis and Latchi | About 50 to 55 minutes |
| Limassol | About 45 to 50 minutes by motorway |
Times are for normal traffic and are only a guide, so allow extra in peak summer weekends.
Landing at Larnaca and Staying in Paphos
Many flights land at Larnaca (LCA) even when the holiday is in Paphos. The two are around 134 km apart, roughly 1 hour 30 minutes on the motorway in normal traffic, and that is a long way to go at the end of a flight. When you rent with us, we can take you from Larnaca to Paphos and straight to your hotel, villa or home. The price is agreed with the shop, so call us, and please book 24 hours before.
You can also collect your rental car at Larnaca and drive yourself. To drop the car at Larnaca Airport instead, call the shop; there is a charge. Our Larnaca to Paphos page compares the ways of making the trip, with tips for the A6 motorway.
Groups, Families and Heavy Luggage
For larger groups, families with heavy luggage and golf parties, one vehicle is simpler than two taxis. When you rent with us we can arrange a minibus, so you travel together from the airport to your accommodation. The size depends on your group, so call the shop on +357 99 655104 with your group size, dates and flight details. If you prefer to drive yourselves, the automatic Nissan X-Trail is our roomiest car.
Delivery to Your Hotel, Villa or Home
When you rent with us, we can also take you straight to your hotel, villa or home, free of charge in Paphos town, at Paphos Airport and in Chloraka, Kissonerga, Peyia, Coral Bay, Tala, Empa and Mesa Chorio. It is not only the shop. Free stops include Kato Paphos, Geroskipou and Coral Bay. Further out there is an extra charge; call the shop for the price.
Rental Car, Taxi or Airport Bus?
A rental with a transfer is not right for every trip, so here is an honest comparison.
| Option | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Rental car with CHMI | Stays of more than a couple of days, families, groups, exploring beyond your resort | You need a driving licence, and you will drive on the left |
| Taxi | One-off trips to a single hotel with no need for a car | Fares add up fast if you make several journeys |
| Airport bus | Solo travellers on a budget | Timetables are limited, and luggage and late arrivals can be awkward |
Paphos is spread out. The old town, the harbour, the Tombs of the Kings, Coral Bay and the villages behind Peyia are separate stops, so for a stay of a week a car usually pays for itself. If you are only staying for a night or two in one place, a taxi may be cheaper.
How to Arrange Your Transfer
- Choose your car. Browse the Paphos car rental options, or ask us to suggest a size for your group.
- Tell us your flight. Send your flight number, arrival time and group size.
- Book 24 hours before. This lets us plan your handover or your Larnaca transfer.
- Confirm details for groups. For a minibus, call the shop so we can agree the size and details.
